Refund Policy

Refund Policy

How cancellation, unused advance payments, completed work, third-party costs and mandatory consumer rights are handled.

Last updated: 19 September 2026

Scope and mandatory rights

This policy applies to payments for services arranged through LEX EXTRADITION. It does not reduce any mandatory cancellation, withdrawal, reimbursement or consumer rights that apply under the governing law or a specific engagement.

Cancellation before work begins

If a matter is cancelled before substantive work starts, any unused advance is normally returned, less any non-recoverable payment charges or external costs already incurred where legally permitted.

After work has started

Once work has begun, fees corresponding to work already performed and reasonable commitments made for the matter may be deducted from any advance. If the advance exceeds earned fees and properly incurred costs, the unused balance is returned unless the engagement or mandatory law requires a different treatment.

Third-party, urgent and customised work

Court fees, government fees, translations, courier costs, expert fees, local-professional charges and other amounts already paid or irreversibly committed to third parties are generally recoverable only if the third party refunds them. Mandatory rules concerning digital, customised or urgently commenced services remain applicable.

How to request a refund

Send the request to request@lex-extradition.com with the matter reference, payer name, payment date and reason for the request. We review the payment, work performed and external costs, then confirm any refundable balance and payment method. Do not initiate duplicate chargeback and refund processes without first identifying the disputed transaction.
