Service-Specific Terms
Additional terms applying to cross-border legal services, case coordination, documents, deadlines, costs and professional responsibilities.
Confirmed scope
Each matter is handled according to the scope confirmed for that engagement. Work outside the confirmed scope, including additional jurisdictions, appeals, emergency filings, translations or extensive evidence review, may require a new or amended instruction.
Cross-border coordination
International matters can involve different legal systems, authorities and professional rules. Where local representation or specialist input is required, our team may coordinate the work with lawyers or other professionals in the relevant jurisdiction, subject to applicable law and professional restrictions.
Documents, instructions and deadlines
You are responsible for providing authentic, legible and complete documents and for alerting us to known deadlines, hearings, detention, travel or enforcement risks. We may request originals, certified copies, translations or additional evidence. Authorities and courts control their own procedures, scheduling and decisions.
Fees and external costs
Professional fees and payment stages are confirmed for the matter. Court fees, filing fees, translations, notarisation, apostille, courier, expert, local-professional or other external costs are separate unless expressly included. We do not incur material third-party costs without an appropriate basis to do so.
Confidentiality, conflicts, outcomes and termination
Confidentiality and conflict checks apply according to the professional role and applicable law. No result is guaranteed. Either side may end the engagement in accordance with the agreed terms and applicable professional or mandatory law; fees and unavoidable costs for work already performed or committed remain payable to the extent legally permitted.
